In-person worship cancelled 1-12

Dear Saint Anne's:

The clergy and vestry hope that you had a great time with family, friends, and pets enjoying the beautiful snow day. As we have been monitoring and assessing the roads and campus we have decided to cancel Sunday morning services and formation for tomorrow. Ben Jordan has walked the campus twice today and there are treacherous areas in the parking lots, stairs, and walkways. Some places are almost completely dry, but under the shady trees there are still large areas of snow, ice, and slush that will refreeze overnight. Our greatest priority is for you to remain safe.

On Thursday Hannah, Joyce, Jan, and Elaine joined me in the nave to prerecord a service. The liturgy of scripture, sermon, and prayer with lovely organ music will be uploaded to the Saint Anne’s Facebook page and to the website. I am grateful for Nancy Brockway who came to manage our audio-visual recordings of the service. One of the benefits of COVID is that we know how to produce online services.

I am already in the process of rescheduling our guest preacher, Holle Tubbs and we will announce that date soon.
